'My apologies to everyone who felt I let them down with my nude photos' - Moyo Lawal

Nollywood actress, Moyo Lawal who broke the internet a few days ago when she released some not-so-nude photos has apologised for letting people down.

 In a lenghty Instagram post, the actress said, 'my apologies to everyone who felt, I let them down by "explaining and comparing" but you see, I'm in a business of creating Illusions and it gladdens my professional heart that I do it so well, majority believes whatever illusion I create'.

 She continued to say, 'but at the end of the day, am an African woman who hasn't forgotten her culture, and one who surprising also happens to be very reserved and conservative at heart. So you see, it is only natural that you will see the struggle between both sides of me for as long as I remain an entertainer. Now this is not to say that I have any apologies about my work because the camera is my lover and I will do literally anything for him. However it is important to me that some people are able to understand "That Fact" without getting carried away with the razzmatazz'.

Transgender Woman Brutally Murdered in South Africa

Nare Mphela, who won a landmark transgender discrimination case against her Limpopo high school in 2017, has been murdered in her home. It was learned that Mphela’s body was discovered with numerous stab wounds this week in her rented house in the Makopane area. It’s understood that the home was also set on fire. No arrests have been made. While additional details are unclear, news of Mphela’s death has been met with shock. The 27-year-old made LGBTIQ+ history when she took her former high school principal and the Limpopo Department of Education to the Equality Court. She claimed she suffered ongoing discrimination from 2013 to 2014 because of her gender identity. The principal of Raselete Secondary School was accused of encouraging learners to physically harass and humiliate Mphela, including asking them to “check” her genitals in the bathrooms.
